One of my favorite places to hanging around is going to a beach near my village, it's about fifteen kilometers heading to the northwest, and this place on the side of the main road (Pantura highway). I often spend hours with my couple or just for a cup of coffee with breakfast (and/or eating meals). The beach is very clean with no plastic straggled along the edge of the beach. Sandy beaches and a pretty unique black sand beach and the rivers have rocky bottoms, limpid water, and freshly.
The rocky land makes a great backdrop for a fun day of hanging out in the sun with that refreshing blue water waiting there for you all day. It's a popular spot with a huge car park in front of the Warung. It isn't for people looking to have a private beach type of experience. It would be perfect for a family who prioritizes facilities, restaurants (warung), and ease of access over the adventure.
There are lots of spots for photos out over the beach and huts to relax in. It seemed to be a hotspot for local couples to hang out and chat in the huts. We headed back to refresh in the waters on the black sand beach, I should mention that it will look much nicer with green hills (the mountain behind the beach) in the rainy season, but if you visited in the dry season so the hills look brown and dead.
In fact, it was probably one of my favorite sunset spots in all of Situbondo. The water is so limpid and freshly, and the waves are so good enough to swim. We really enjoyed watching the sun go down over the layered mountains in the distance. The reflections on the sand from receding water made for some special photos.
